Job summary
In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
Main duties of the job
Provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored to the individual needs of patients. Develop, implement and review person-centred treatment plans, supporting patients to achieve meaningful goals and improve daily functioning. Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, contributing to assessments, care planning, risk management and clinical decision-making. Provide clinical leadership and support to junior occupational therapists, students and other members of the therapy team. Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure all practice is delivered in line with professional standards, Priory policies and best practice guidelines.

Priory Hospital Newbury
Salary £38,983- £46,882 depending on experience
Full Time/ 37.5 Hours
Priory Hospital Newbury, located Berkshire, is a level 2 rehabilitation service which supports male adults with mental health needs, who are working towards a life back in the community. We also provide an acute service, for local male and female patients who are in crisis and require a short admission for support.
We are well-placed to accept patients who need higher levels of care and intensive therapeutic support, as well as those stepping down in acuity.
Person Specification
Requirements Essential
Candidates must be HCPC registered and hold a Diploma in Occupational Therapy, or a degree, honours degree, or Masters in Occupational Therapy, or have completed formal postgraduate study (award or non-award bearing). They must also have prior experience working in mental health services as a qualified member of staff, experience supervising Occupational Therapists or Occupational Therapy Assistants and students, and training in relevant models of practice such as MoHO, VdTMoCA, and Sensory Integration.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
