Job description Job responsibilities Job title: Diagnostic Radiographer - CT Band 6 Department: CT & Genral Imaging Salary: £42,756 to £54,077 Location: 20 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6BW Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Contract: Permanent Are you an experienced Diagnostic Radiographer looking to develop your expertise across CT and General Imaging within one of the UK's leading independent hospitals? his is an exciting opportunity to join our specialist Imaging team in a varied Band 6 role. You will work across a broad and complex caseload, using advanced imaging technology to deliver safe, high quality and personalised care. A little about the role This is an excellent opportunity for a radiographer who enjoys working across different clinical areas and wants to develop their expertise within a technologically advanced and patient focused environment. You will perform a comprehensive range of CT examinations while also supporting our General Imaging service across inpatient, outpatient, mobile and theatre settings. You will work closely with highly experienced radiologists, radiographers and multidisciplinary colleagues to provide safe, effective and compassionate care throughout every stage of the patient journey. What you'll be doing As a Diagnostic Radiographer within our Imaging team, you will:
Perform a comprehensive range of CT examinations, including angiography, oncology, trauma, colonography and contrast enhanced studies, to provide accurate diagnostic images and support timely clinical decision.Deliver General Radiography services across inpatient, outpatient, mobile and theatre settings to meet the imaging needs of patients across a wide range of specialtiesSupport fluoroscopy and Interventional Radiology procedures to help deliver safe, coordinated and effective patient carePractise as an Operator under IR(ME)R regulations to ensure examinations are completed safely and in accordance with legal and professional standardsCoordinate imaging lists and organise daily activity to support efficient patient flow and the effective use of departmental capacityParticipate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits and service development projects to strengthen imaging quality and improve patient experienceMentor junior colleagues and support learning within the team to develop professional confidence, clinical competence and consistent standards of practiceApply radiation protection principles and departmental safety procedures to protect patients, colleagues and visitorsMaintain clear communication with patients and multidisciplinary colleagues to provide a reassuring experience and support coordinated care What we're looking for A BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or an equivalent recognised qualificationCurrent HCPC registrationSignificant post registration experience within General RadiographyClinical experience within CT Imaging and Interventional RadiologyA strong understanding of radiation protection principles and IR(ME)R regulationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to work effectively across different imaging environmentsA proactive, collaborative and patient focused approach to care It would also be beneficial if you have: A relevant postgraduate qualification, such as a PgDip or MScAn IV Cannulation CertificateExperience within MRI or Breast ImagingExperience coordinating clinical areas or supporting the development of junior colleagues What you'll be part of You will join our specialist Imaging Department, which provides a comprehensive diagnostic and interventional service to patients from across the hospital. The department supports a diverse and complex caseload across oncology, surgery, orthopaedics, trauma and general medicine, providing imaging services for both inpatients and outpatients.
