Job summary The London Ambulance Service (LAS) depends on highly available, reliable, sustainable, cost effective digital services to support the delivery of urgent and emergency care. To ensure that digital & data services are appropriately evaluated and designed to support LAS in providing an excellent digital experience for our staff and outstanding care for our patients.The role is critical to the Trust to ensure digital alignment with Trust strategic goals, standardisation of products and services, governance and compliance with architecture processes and principles.Working within the Digital & Data Department as a Infrastructure and solutions architecture subject matter expert.Accountable for delivering infrastructure architecture and design services (including developing architectural artefacts, policies, mandates, processes, procedures and reports and supporting the operation of the Architecture Review Board).Delivering these services across the breadth of the Trust (including 999 Operations, Emergency Care, Integrated Urgent Care and Corporate / Trust wide business areas) to enable the Trusts objectives and transformational Digital agenda.
Main duties of the job
Identifying the Trusts current business and infrastructure architectures and developing joined up designs and long-term technology roadmaps for all business areas of the Trust to achieve the digital transformation required to realise the Trusts future vision.
Conduct design activity so that business requirements are reviewed, interpreted and respond to, ensuring alignment between customer expectations and future digital capabilities.Producing designs of information, software and infrastructure systems and services across all LAS functions, using standardised principles so that they support the roadmaps and are appropriately available, resilient and secure.Collating and providing structured architectural information to help Digital & Data manage and change the infrastructure environment and the Trust the information uses.Monitoring of Architecture services against a recognised Architecture Maturity Model.Providing architectural expertise, direction, and assistance to staff and managers in and outside Digital & Data.

Person Specification
Qualifications, Accreditations, Education Essential
Educated to degree level in IT related subject or equivalent extensive senior technical management experience within an IT department Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Managing Professional level qualified or obtain qualification within 6 months TOGAF 9/10 Foundation & Certification or obtain qualification within 12 months Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or obtain within 12 months
Experience Essential
Recent and relevant technical and solutions design experience within a large organisation using a recognised framework
Desirable
Recent and relevant digital infrastructure and solutions design experience within a large organisation in a Senior role, preferred. Experience of delivering architectural and design services either in a clinical or blue light environment, preferred.
Knowledge and Skills Essential
