Job SummaryYou will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL/COMPUTER/ELECTRONICS ENGINEER or PHYSICIST in the Missions Systems Group. Avionics Engineer Department, EO and Special Missions Sensors Engineering Division, Non-Traditional Maritime Sensing Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13/14 grade level or pay band NM-04 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional GENERAL ENGINEER, COMPUTER ENGINEER, ELECTRONICS ENGINEER OR PHYSCIST performing duties such as: 1) Translate operational fleet requirements into verifiable technical specifications; conducting quantitative modeling, optical design, or signature prediction using industry-standard tools; 2) Integrate EO/IR payloads, critical components, or upgrades into military aircraft architectures; and supporting airworthiness certification and flight-test execution: 3) Directing the day-to-day operations and safety governance of modeling, simulation, or Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) laboratories; 4) Conduct ground-test evaluations against simulated threat profiles; delivering executive capability briefs to secure project funding and resource sponsorship; 5) Apply Agile project management to allocate branch assets and address urgent fleet needs; 6) Lead, supervise, or mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists (5+ personnel; 7) Establish project milestones, performance metrics, and accountability frameworks; 8) Delegate work aligned with organizational priorities; 9) Deliver technical training curricula; 10) Translate strategic enterprise goals into actionable operational tasks for the workforce. Major DutiesYou will assist in providing resources for the execution of electro-optical and infrared systems and design, development, Integration and evaluation of such systems into air vehicles.You will be responsible for planning, directing, and controlling all activities of the assigned program including managing personnel skills, processes, and resources.You will provide technical administration, supervision, training and continuous quality improvement of assigned personnel.You will work in conjunction with the Chief Technologist in management of financial resources and direct the technical work of the systems level engineers.You will provide long-range plans and establishes specific program objectives to meet current and future customer requirements.
