Job SummaryYou will serve as a MANAGER in the Global Deterrence & Defense Department (GX), Trusted Microelectronics Division (GXV), Verification and Validation Branch (GXVV) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-14 Step 10 (currently $163,514).
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional scientist or engineer managing the development and coordination of projects, resources, and technical performance of microelectronics design and verification for safety-critical military systems. This position is subject to an initial drug screening, and random testing thereafter. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date). The selectee's inability to successfully pass; or refusal to conduct the test may result in: 1) the tentative or final job offer being withdrawn during the recruitment process; or 2) subsequently being removed from Federal service for failure to meet a condition of employment. Major DutiesYou will serve to bridge the functions of the organization with the larger purpose and vision of NSWC.You will develop strategies and vision for the Branch to support programs/policies.You will ensure adherence to compliance areas such as Safety, Environmental, and Security.You will provide positive leadership and act as a role model to workforce.You will communicate up, down, and across the chain of command, and with outside organizations, sponsors and business partners.You will manage a branch that is responsible for the design and verification of microelectronics for digital, analog, and mechanical technologies (including ASIC, SoC and mixed-signal technologies) for safety-critical military systems.
