Job SummaryYou will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the COMFRC Comptroller Group Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic (FRCMA) Voyage Repair Team (VRT) Analyst in the Budget Department of COMFLTREADCEN.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector preforming some or all of the following duties: 1) Analyzing the financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations, identifying the root causes of the differences, and providing management with key metrics; 2) Performing budget formulation and execution duties, such as developing budget estimates, monitoring obligations and expenditures, and analyzing financial performance against plans; 3) Using financial systems (such as Navy ERP) to analyze data, create funding documents, process financial actions, and prepare reports or briefs for management; 4) Formulating budgets and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities; 5) Carrying out budgetary and financial management responsibilities with a high degree of independence and exhibiting personal ownership for assigned financial products and outcomes. Major DutiesYou will demonstrate intensive experience with the Department of the Navy financial systems, with proficiency in Navy ERP (N-ERP) as the system of record.You will exhibit personal ownership for assigned financial products and outcomes by proactively managing deliverables, validating data integrity and ensuring all analyses is accurate and complete.You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration for FRCMA VRT.You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization’s programs and administrative operations; implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.You will review, analyze, and interpret higher authorities’ budget guidelines and instructions.You will communicate the organization’s strategic plan, mission, vision and values and incorporate these into the team’s goals, objectives, work products and services via annual guidance setting milestones, timeframes and deadlines for completion.
