About this role

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Dexa Radiographer to work in our friendly DEXA Unit, based within Medical Imaging.

The DEXA service operates on two sites, Mexborough and Bassetlaw using Hologic Discovery and Hologic Horizon DEXA units. The successful candidate will be expected to work across the Trust providing a robust and quality service to our patients and assisting in other areas of Radiology when required.

We are seeking to recruit a permanent Dexa Radiogrpaher to join our growing team, working 24 hours per week.

Please note that applicants must be 18 years old or above. Under UK regulations (IRR17), individuals must be at least 18 to work with ionising radiation in a clinical role.

Main duties of the job

To undertake a wide range of imaging DEXA examinations, this will contribute towards the key service objectives of the Medical Imaging Department.

Qualifications & Training Essential

A BSc (hons) in Diagnostic Radiography In date statutory essential training Experience of working in radiology Have a knowledge of DXA scanning

Desirable

Evidence of CPD DXA qualification such as Royal Osteoporosis Society National Training Scheme for Bone Densitometry certificate
