Barricade Technician $21/hr and $23/hr after 90 days in Delray Job DescriptionThe Barricade Technician safely operates a flatbed truck and forklift to deliver, place, load, and unload security blockades at various construction sites. This role combines professional driving, equipment operation, and general labor in an open-air warehouse and field environment.Responsibilities
• Drive a flatbed truck to deliver security blockades to multiple construction sites in a safe and compliant manner. • Operate a forklift to load security blockades and related materials onto flatbed and box trucks at the warehouse. • Unload security blockades at job sites using a forklift and appropriate hand tools. • Secure loads properly on trucks to ensure safe transport and compliance with applicable regulations. • Perform general labor tasks associated with loading, unloading, and positioning security blockades at construction sites. • Inspect trucks, forklifts, and related equipment before use to identify and report any safety or maintenance issues. • Follow site-specific safety procedures while working around active construction areas and in outdoor conditions. • Coordinate with warehouse and site personnel to ensure accurate delivery, placement, and pickup of materials. • Maintain accurate documentation related to deliveries, pickups, and equipment usage as required. Essential Skills
• At least 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably with flatbed or box trucks. • At least 2 years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or similar environment. • Proficiency in operating flatbed trucks, box trucks, and forklifts safely and efficiently. • Ability to use hand tools for securing, loading, and unloading materials. • Experience with truck loading and unloading, including proper load securement. • Capability to perform general labor tasks such as lifting, moving, and positioning heavy materials. • Strong awareness of safety practices in warehouse and construction site environments. • Familiarity with working in and around construction sites. • Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat. • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work both independently and as part of a team. • Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts. • Basic documentation and record-keeping skills related to deliveries and equipment use. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
