Job summary
Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed by the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Southeast Integrated Care Boards; and current at-risk employees within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts.
You will provide senior clinical leadership within the ICB as part of the Chief Medical & Outcomes Officer (CMOO) team.
You will be the CMOO lead for all aspects of commissioning of primary and community care, including the Neighbourhood Health programme.
Main duties of the job
Provide clinical leadership on all aspects of primary care and neighbourhood working in conjunction with the Director of Primary and Community Care. Lead communications and delivery of the GP, Pharmacy, Optometry and Dentistry Development Plans as well as Neighbourhood development and delivery Provide key clinical leadership and oversight of clinical directors Clinical oversight and direction concerning new and existing local services Support the Primary Care Estates strategy from a clinical perspective Support the Chief Digital Officer and CCIO digital development in Primary Care and Neighbourhood. Provide clinical leadership for all primary care delegated services (GP and POD) including holding to account primary care colleagues where performance concerns have been identified. Person Specification
Qualifications and Experience Essential
Demonstrate skill, knowledge and experience of working in a system leadership role, at a senior management level equivalent to a director or Board member.
Desirable
Be practising as a GP in a practice in receipt of a GMS, PMS or APMS contract within the ICB area
Competencies Essential
Evidence of drawing on a breadth of complex and, sometimes contradictory, data to inform ethical decisions, balancing competing priorities.
Desirable
Experience of contributing effectively to complex professional meetings at a senior level
Attributes Essential
In depth knowledge of health, care, local government landscape and/ or the voluntary sector
