About this role

Job summary

We are looking for an organised, accurate and proactive Administrator to join our practice team.

The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative and Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) support to the clinical and management teams. The role involves accurately processing patient information, clinical correspondence and healthcare records, ensuring high standards of data quality and confidentiality.

A key part of the role will be supporting the achievement of QOF, enhanced services and long-term condition targets, including running searches, coordinating patient recalls and monitoring outstanding work.

The successful candidate will work closely with clinicians, administrators and external healthcare organisations to support the efficient delivery of patient care and achievement of practice objectives.

Main duties of the job

o Process and code clinical letters, hospital correspondence and discharge summaries accurately.o File and maintain electronic patient records and ensure data quality.o Act as a key coordinator for QOF, recalls and long-term condition reviews.o Run searches, reports and audits to support QOF and enhanced service targets.o Follow recall processes and contact patients when reviews are due.o Monitor workflows and allocate clinical documents appropriately.o Process incoming and outgoing clinical correspondence.o Support patient registration and records management.o Liaise with clinicians, colleagues and external organisations.o Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with data protection and health and safety requirements.o Participate in meetings, training and service improvement.o Work collaboratively with the wider practice team to meet contractual and service objectives.

Person Specification

Knowledge and Experience Essential

Previous administration experience within a GP Practice or healthcare setting. Knowledge of System One or similar clinical systems. Experience of clinical coding and medical terminology. Understanding of QOF and primary care targets. Good Microsoft Office skills Previous health service experience
