Job summary Our Bournemouth Drug and Alcohol service are recruiting for an experienced Independent Prescriber to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse client group. Main duties of the job As a Independent Prescriber, you will be responsible for carrying out clinical assessment, diagnosis and clinical management in line with both WithYou and National regulations, policies and procedures. You will be eager to keep up to date with developments in the treatments that you are prescribing and help With You to develop, implement and evaluate the interventions we use with our clients. These include:
To take responsibility for clinical assessment, diagnosis and clinical management. To provide harm reduction support, information and advice to individuals in relations to substance misuse. Act as an advisor for non-clinical team members in relation to the health care needs of clients attending the service. Provide assessment and ongoing management of substitute prescribing for clients in liaison with pharmacists and central prescribing doctors. Test for substance use and feedback to individuals and services where appropriate.

Job Opportunity

This is a full time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. As part of this role, the successful candidate will hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle.
