Job summary

Spring Tide Intensive Treatment Day Service are seeking an experienced and dedicated Band 7 Mental Health Nurse to join our specialist Multi-Disciplinary Team. In this role you will deliver high quality, compassionate care tailored to young people navigating recovery from Anorexia Nervosa. You will oversee therapeutic interventions, shift co-ordination, physical health monitoring, meal supports, family work and help guide junior staff in a supportive, structured environment.

Main duties of the job

Leading the day-to-day coordination of the unit

Providing specialist nursing assessment, formulation and care planning.

Leading all nursing tasks:

Monitoring of physical health of young people with severe Anorexia Nervosa

Meal supports

Care co-ordination for a small case load

Form part of a care team delivering this intervention.

One to one work with young people.

Job description Job responsibilities

The successful candidate would be responsible for leading the day-to-day coordination of the unit as well as providing specialist nursing assessment, formulation and care planning. This will include leading all nursing tasks such as the monitoring of physical health of young people with severe Anorexia Nervosa, meal supports and care co-ordination for a small case load All members of the MDT will be trained in the Maudsley model of Family Therapy and form part of a care team delivering this intervention. There will also be one to one work with young people.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing individual and groupwork and willprovide supervision and professional support to relevant colleagues.You will support service development through service evaluation and audit, as well as bringing new insights through research and keeping up to date with developments in the field.

Ideally you will have prior experience of working with eating disorders and experience of using therapeutic models associated with this client group.

Person Specification

Skills Essential

Educated to degree/ diploma level with a relevant qualification or equivalent experience. Evidence of CPD NMC Registration Experience of working in Eating Disorders and demonstrable achievement in clinical practice Experience of managing staff Experience of providing professional support/supervision and motivation of staff Ability to provide and receive complex and emotive information with staff, service users, carers and other stakeholders An understanding of effective systems for integrated governance and the management of clinical and non- clinical risks. Ability to present information clearly.

Can use constructive criticism and openly seeks to review and reflect on own style and presentation. Resilient and self motivated with drive and vision that is able to work on own initiative and manage a range of priorities across competing agendas. Demonstrate the ability to work in a participatory way so that shared decision making and conversations around formulation/diagnosis and ongoing care are a collaborative endeavour with the people who access our service.
