About this role
Job summary There are 10 clinical sessions (40 hours a week) available within the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Bristol Dental Hospital.
This position consists of 1 full-time role on a fixed term basis covering maternity leave for 12 months. The post-holders will be expected to provide clinical leadership, offer expert dental advice, and deliver treatment within the scope of Restorative Dentistry.
Main duties of the job
The Restorative Dentistry Department is part of the Centre for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dentistry and Orthodontics (OMDO) at Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. The post-holder will be expected to provide expert dental advice and high-quality treatment within the scope of Restorative Dentistry.
The role includes participation in clinical sessions within the Restorative Dentistry Department at Bristol Dental Hospital, with responsibility for delivering patient care and, where appropriate, supervising clinical activity. The post-holder will contribute to the provision of a high-standard restorative service and support the development of junior staff.

Qualifications and Training Essential
Bachelor of Dental Surgery (or equivalent) with a minimum of four years post qualification experience Full UK GDC registration Postgraduate qualification such as an FDS/MFDS (A) Significant hospital postgraduate experience in an employed capacity in a hospital based specialist unit (SHO/DCT/specialty dentist grade)

Higher academic qualification e.g. MD, PhD or equivalent Prizes/Awards/Distinctions
