Job summary
Imperial College Healthcare (ICHT) NHS Trust wishes to recruit a 9.125 PA Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to contribute to our growing endometriosis and minimal access services.
We will be holding the formal AAC interview panel on 28th October 2026
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide gynaecology outpatient clinics, rapid access clinics, outpatient hysteroscopy clinics and both emergency and elective gynaecology theatre cover along with early pregnancy and emergency gynaecology scanning sessions and an alternate week labour ward session. Out of hours activities include participation in a 1:18 on call rota and 1:7 early pregnancy/emergency gynaecology unit rota, along with a 1:6 weekend commitment to.
This is a 9.125 PA post, with regular operating lists, outpatient gynaecology clinics and a caesarean section list, along with on calls for both obstetrics and gynaecology on a 1:9 basis.

The post holder will also carry out a regular caesarean section list and on call commitment to both maternity and gynaecology on a 1:9 basis.

Person Specification
Education/ Qualifications Essential
On GMC's register with a Licence to Practice or eligible to apply for GMC registration and a Licence to Practice
Knowledge/ Skills Essential
Completion of a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery at a BSGE accredited Endometriosis Centre IT Skills and computer literacy
Leadership/ Management Skills Essential
Able to take responsibility, show leadership, make decisions, exert appropriate authority Have proven skills in leading, motivating, developing and managing the performance of colleagues. Knowledge of finance/budgets Management of staff
Teaching & Training Essential
Experience of teaching and training undergraduates/postgraduates and junior medical staff
Audit Essential
Understanding of principles of clinical audit
Academic achievement Essential
Evidence of achievement appropriate to appointment at consultant level at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
Language Essential
Able to speak and write English to the appropriate standard necessary to fulfil the job requirements
