Thank you for your interest in working for Hampshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as a Healthcare Support Worker. We are currently recruiting for Healthcare Support Workers in both our Winchester and Basingstoke locations,
In this role, you will have the opportunity to personally make a difference to our patients lives and the lives of their carers and relatives every single day. Our Healthcare Support Workers are at the heart of our multidisciplinary teams who support our patients by assisting our Registered Nurses in planning, delivering and evaluating care. This will require you to:

The Healthcare Support Worker role is varied and busy as you will be working a variety of shifts including long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
Successful candidates who are eligible will be expected to undertake the Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship. Eligibility and suitability for the programme will be assessed based on apprenticeship funding requirements, previous qualifications, and relevant experience.

Main duties of the job
It is essential that within your application you are able to demonstrate an understanding of the role and responsibilities, able to prove how you develop and maintain positive working relationships, along with evidencing how you would demonstrate our Trust values.
You must be a minimum of 18 years old to apply for the role and be willing to work a minimum of 23 hours per week. You must be able to commit to the standard shift pattern for this role which includes long days, nights, weekend and bank holidays.

We will be holding an in-person HCSW Interview Days in Basingstoke on 9th October and Winchester on 14th October. The event will include a presentation, talks from our clinical staff and a face-to-face interview. No further interview dates are available and you must be able to attend in person.

Training & Qualifications Essential
IT Literate Confirmation of Secondary Education - GCSE grades (Minimum requirements: 1-3 or D-G (Department for Education: June 2017)) or equivalent knowledge gained through any combination of alternative study, or employment experience ESOL Level 2 or equivalent (if English not first language). Or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through any combination of alternative study, or employment experience. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent or above in Health or Health and Social Care or working towards an award. Or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through any combination of alternative study, or employment experience.
