Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Educator (Pre-Reg Nursing) working with the existing Education and Training team in CFT. This post is fixed term for one year. The role will play a key role in shaping the future nursing workforce by supporting high-quality learning experiences for non-medical pre-registration learners across CFT. Working within our dedicated Education and Training Team, you will help ensure that all learners benefit from safe, effective, and well-governed practice learning environments. As well as supporting and developing Practice Supervisors and Assessors across the trust.

Main duties of the job
This post will focus on,
Supporting existing and growing new quality clinical placements for pre-registration learners by working closely with Practice Supervisors and Assessors in clinical practice.
The support of undergraduate learners on practice placements across CFT.
The person we are looking for will have; a strong clinical background with recent clinical experience, excellent communication skills, ability toengage and influence at all levels, demonstrate a passion for education and act as a professional role model. You will also be confident in workingin cross field environments, providing support in Adult, Mental Health and Learning Disability clinical settings. You will play a key role in qualityimprovement initiatives leading to improved patient care. We will provide appropriate support and opportunities for your continued development.This post will work across the county.

Person Specification
Education / Qualifications and Relevant Experience Essential
Current professional registration with NMC/HCPC Substantial post qualifying clinical experience Post graduate teaching qualification or equivalent, or willingness to work towards. Experience of mentoring, supervising and assessing healthcare students in the practice setting
Knowledge and abilities Essential
Understanding of variety of routes/programmes in pre-registration education Competent in supporting emotional needs of healthcare students
