Tax & Audit Intern

Sisterson & Co. LLP, a respected regional CPA firm based in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking motivated and qualified local candidates to join our team as a Summer Tax & Audit Intern. As a Tax & Audit Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience across tax and audit disciplines. The internship program provides students with relevant practical experience in a variety of accounting, tax, and audit functions through direct training with team members, job shadowing, research projects, and performance of audit procedures, and tax return preparation.

Some additional highlights of the program include:

• Outstanding Orientation & Onboarding Experience: Join a cohort of interns and newly hired associates to kick off your experience with collaborative onboarding and training.

• Time Commitment

• Weeks 1: 32–38 hours for onboarding

• Weeks 2–8: Minimum of 24 hours per week

• Work Environment Interns have the opportunity to collaborate in person and will be in the office three days per week.

• Hands-On Experience Engage directly with client projects under the guidance of experienced team members, gaining practical insights and skills.

• Professional Development Explore opportunities across tax and audit, enhancing your exposure to multiple service lines.

• Mentorship & Support Connect with Peer Mentors and firm leaders through in-office and virtual collaboration, fostering growth and community.

• University Collaboration Receive all necessary documentation to fulfill college internship credit requirements, tailored to your institution’s needs.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals:

• Obtaining a bachelor’s degree in accounting or master’s degree (accounting focus preferred)

• Graduating no later than May 2028 with a GPA of 3.0 or higher

• Eager to grow in the public accounting profession, offering effective communication skills and a ready-to-learn mindset
