About the Symposium Series

The Sisterson Symposium Series is our firm’s approach to connecting with high‑potential students early in their academic journey. The series creates meaningful touchpoints that encourage students to explore the profession, build confidence, and form authentic connections with our people. Through the progression of programs, the Symposium Series strengthens our campus presence, supports a long‑term talent pipeline, and reflects our commitment to developing the next generation of accounting professionals. The program is designed for accounting majors who complete the second semester of their sophomore year by May. The three-day, immersive, in-person event will provide a collaborative learning opportunity for those interested in pursuing a career in public accounting. The event will focus on industry-related topics, team building activities, networking with tax, audit, and consulting professionals of Sisterson, engaging with a client, and meeting fellow accounting majors from other colleges and universities. It will also provide students with the chance to learn from our current and rising leaders of the firm.

About STEEL

STEEL offers participants real‑world experience designed to build skills, career confidence, and leadership skills. STEEL is an immersive professional development experience for students who have completed their sophomore year and are seeking hands‑on exposure to the public accounting profession. Through targeted skill‑building sessions, real‑world activities, and direct interaction with our accountants and consultants, participants gain practical experience, industry insight, and professional confidence. The program emphasizes collaboration, team building, and networking with firm professionals and peers from a wide range of colleges and universities. Participants explore potential career paths, gain insight into day‑to‑day work in public accounting and prepare for future internship experiences. STEEL helps students envision a long‑term future in the profession—and potentially with our firm. While participation does not guarantee an internship, many STEEL participants join Sisterson as interns the following summer.
