About this role
The Marching Band Drum Tech supports the percussion program by providing instruction and assistance to the marching battery throughout the season. Responsibilities include:
• Assist with battery rehearsals, sectionals, and full ensemble rehearsals.
• Reinforce technique, timing, sound quality, and musical consistency.
• Help students learn and refine the marching percussion book.
• Provide individual and small-group instruction as needed.
• Assist percussion staff with rehearsal and performance preparation.
• Attend scheduled rehearsals, performances, and competitions as assigned.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and student-centered approach consistent with the expectations of the Bixby Bands program.
