Job SummaryYou will serve as a WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Quality Assurance Office (Code 130) of PSNS and IMF.

QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing and allocating workforce resources based on department workload requirements and coordinating administrative operations associated with recruiting and hiring personnel to ensure the timely completion of project objectives. Major DutiesYou will evaluate project plans and other technical documents to identify code support required to complete long and short-term overhaul, repair, and maintenance projects for nuclear and non-nuclear ships and submarines.You will determine staffing (manning) requirements by evaluating the type and quantity of work to be performed and the workforce needed to complete the work.You will analyze and consider factors such as skill and experience levels of employees; qualifications held by employees; effect of new work on department divisions, availability of employees; equitability and appropriateness of assignments, etc.You will research, identify, and implement multi-faceted workforce management strategies.You will serve as the department's point of contact for managing and facilitating administrative operations within the department directly associated with recruiting, selecting, and hiring new employees.You will partner with managers to ascertain and clarify competencies related to work requirements and identify necessary technical and soft skills specific to unique positions.You will participate in developing hiring/revitalization and workforce development plans.You will maintain ongoing communication with various stakeholders to clarify recruitment criteria, resolve administrative delays, expedite filling critical positions, recommend process changes, and provide status updates.
