Job SummaryYou will serve as a LEAD PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SHIPS) in the PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing, developing, and coordinating work specifications, estimates, and material requirements for scheduled ship availability periods and emergent work to support ship maintenance and repair. Major DutiesYou will serve as the Planning and Estimating Team leader responsible for coordinating and reviewing, as well as writing technical work specifications for various shop trades.You will review and screen incoming Planning section work requests for completeness and trade applicability, and determine the capability and availability of resources to accomplish tasking.You will perform parts and material research to include utilizing various online logistics research resources and publications.You will provide coaching, guidance, mentorship, facilitation, and oversight for all Planners under the Planning Division section assigned.You will develop work specifications, estimates, and material requirements for scheduled ship availability periods and emergent work for the accomplishment of ship maintenance and repairs.You will plan work packages and verify completed Planning section work packages to detail all aspects of job planning and execution requirements.
