Job summary
The Reynard Surgery islooking to welcome a qualified dispenser into our busy modern practice,to play a full and active role as part of the practice multi-disciplinary team.This role is offered on a full or part time basis we are looking to cover up to 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We would consider 2 part time or 1 full time candidate.
Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities of the role:
Process all relevant prescriptions and repeat prescriptions as authorised by GPs and prescribing nurses where appropriate, in accordance with the good practice principles of the Dispensing Services Quality Scheme; Ensure that all medicines and appliances dispensed are checked against the prescription and whenever there is doubt about the appropriateness of the item, or about the dose or labelling instructions, to check with the authorising doctor or duty doctor; Collect all due prescription charges and ensure that the patient declaration on the reverse of the FP10 is duly filled in and signed by the patient; Process dossette boxes; Manage ordering stock and stock control; Answer and deal withdispensary phone enquiries; Monitor patients exemption status; Sort and dispose of unwanted/returned medication; Any other duties to assist in the smooth day to day running of the dispensary and surgery as directed by the either the dispensary lead or practice manager.

Person Specification
If you are an experienced dispenser looking for an exciting new role, then we'd love to hear from you. You will have the following skills and experience: Essential
You will have at least a Diploma Level 2/3 Dispensary or equivalent Pharmacy Services qualification; At least 1 years dispensary and pharmacy experience; Excellent clinical and medication knowledge; Understanding and experience of working as a dispenser in GP or Pharmacy setting; The commitment to continue to learn new clinical skills. The confidence to work as part of a busy GP multi-disciplinary practice team and using your own initiative in decision making; The ability to be adaptable and flexible in your approach; Excellent patient facing inter-personal communication skills. You would need to be flexible with your working hours to cover annual leave and sickness when required You would need to drive.
