Job summary
North Clacton Medical Group have a vacancy for a passionate Clinical Assistant to support the team of Healthcare Assistants and Nursing Associates. The position is offered on a full-time basis, working a 5-days a week across two practices - Crusaders Business Park and North Road, Great Clacton, so you will be required to commute between the two sites.
Main duties of the job
Phlebotomy and observations Attend to patients at home (home visits) Smoking cessation (training can be given) Carry out health checks Update patient health records Ensure rooms are well stocked and set up correctly Move equipment and stock as required Assist with general admin support and clinical dutiesThe role will offer you the opportunity to build on your experience, skills and competence, requiring you to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role Phlebotomy certificate Successful completion of the Care Certificate, or willingness to undertake, as indicated by the CQC GCSE English and Maths A-C or equivalent
Desirable
Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or equivalent
Experience Essential
GCSE English and Maths A-C or equivalent Good IT skills Drivers license and own transport
Desirable
Experience of working within a GP practice Experience of SystmOne, plus additional software such as Abtrace and AccuRx
