Position Summary

The Mechanic is responsible for helping maintain a clean, safe, and fully operational casino environment for guests and team members. This role performs a variety of maintenance, repair, preventative maintenance, and facility support functions across building systems while delivering exceptional guest service and demonstrating the GILA WAY.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding guest service to internal and external guests while promoting the GILA WAY.

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on building systems, equipment, and facilities.

• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing fixtures, including toilets, urinals, faucets, and related components.

• Maintain and repair electrical components such as receptacles, switches, lighting fixtures, ballasts, lamps, and fluorescent tubes.

• Inspect, maintain, and replace HVAC filters and assist with maintenance of exhaust and ventilation systems.

• Repair and maintain furniture, doors, windows, cabinets, and other facility assets.

• Support building upkeep, refurbishment projects, and facility improvement initiatives.

• Complete assigned work orders, projects, and maintenance tasks in a timely and professional manner.

• Assist in emergency response procedures and facility-related safety initiatives as needed.

• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, facilities, building operations, or mechanical experience preferred. Placement within Mechanic levels may be based on experience, skills, certifications, and demonstrated capabilities.

• Working knowledge of general maintenance practices, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and preventative maintenance.

• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.

• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a variety of facility-related issues.

• Strong guest service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and follow through with minimal supervision.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests, team members, and management.

• Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of company policies, procedures, safety regulations, and technical requirements relevant to the position.
