About this role

Salary: £50,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements: We are interested in candidates coming from Security Engineering, Cyber Security Consulting, Cloud Security, Information Security or Security Assurance backgrounds.We need strong communication and client-facing skills.We need people who are comfortable discussing technical security problems with engineers and architects and explaining risks, options and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders.Experience with areas such as NIST, SABSA, TOGAF, ISO 27001, NCSC guidance, Zero Trust, IAM/PAM, cloud security or security assurance would be useful.Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CIISec, SABSA or TOGAF are useful.Candidates must hold or be eligible for SC UK Security Clearance.Eligibility includes having been resident in the UK for the last 5 years.Eligibility includes no more than 29 consecutive days outside the UK during that period.Eligibility includes no more than 6 months outside the UK in any calendar year. Responsibilities: We work directly with clients to help them understand security risks, define requirements and design secure technology solutions.We undertake security architecture and secure-by-design work.We carry out threat modelling and security risk assessments.We review solution and infrastructure designs.We define security requirements and controls.We work across cloud, infrastructure, network and identity security.We work with technical teams to resolve security design problems.We run workshops and gather requirements from clients.We present recommendations and explain technical risk clearly.We balance security requirements against practical delivery and business needs. We are a leading UK consultancy growing our Security Architecture capability and supporting major programmes across government, defence, critical infrastructure and other complex, regulated environments. The role is hybrid, with typically 2-3 days per week in the office in Manchester, Bristol, Belfast or London. Frequent travel is not expected, though occasional client site attendance may be required depending on the assignment. The salary is £50,000-£75,000 plus bonus and benefits, and existing SC clearance is useful but not essential if you meet the eligibility requirements.
