Requirements
- Strong commercial development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Commercial frontend development experience using Angular, React, or Vue.js; Angular is our preferred framework, and developers with React or Vue experience must be willing to learn Angular.
- Good understanding of relational databases and experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software engineering principles, and design patterns.
- Experience developing and maintaining complex enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with Git, testing, debugging, and modern software development practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to explain technical implementations in detail.
- Comfortable working across backend and frontend development.
- Strong mid-level developers ready to step into a senior position will also be considered.
- Desirable: experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift; cloud technologies and DevOps/CI/CD pipelines; Jenkins, Maven, or other build tools; J2EE, JBoss, or established enterprise systems; large-scale transactional systems, billing platforms, or telecommunications software; Oracle or PL/SQL.

Our products support high-volume transactions and essential business operations, and we are modernising our established platforms. This hands-on Senior Java Full Stack Developer role suits an experienced developer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and wants to remain focused on coding rather than move into management. The salary is £65,000–£75,000, depending on experience. We offer hybrid working with two days in the office and three days working from home, generally 9:00am–5:30pm.
