Salary: £60,000 - 75,000 per year
Requirements: Strong commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot.Experience developing microservices and RESTful APIs.Commercial frontend development experience with Angular, React, or Vue.js; Angular is preferred, and candidates with React or Vue.js experience should be willing to learn Angular.Good understanding of relational databases and the ability to write and troubleshoot SQL queries.Experience with Docker/Kubernetes or OpenShift.Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.Experience developing and maintaining complex enterprise applications.Familiarity with Git, testing, debugging, and modern software development practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with confidence discussing technical implementations in depth.Comfortable working across frontend and backend development.Desirable: experience with cloud technologies and DevOps/CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Maven or other build tools, J2EE, JBoss or legacy enterprise systems, large-scale transactional systems, billing platforms or telecommunications software, and AI-assisted development tools.Telecommunications experience is desirable but not essential.The role may suit someone with 5+ years of full-stack development experience or a senior developer who enjoys hands-on coding and taking ownership of technical solutions. We are an established, internationally recognised software company developing complex, business-critical enterprise software used by major organisations worldwide. Our products support high-volume transactions and essential business operations, offering the opportunity to work on technically challenging, large-scale applications as part of an established engineering team. This is a permanent, hands-on individual contributor role in Central London, suited to someone who wants to remain technically focused across backend and frontend development rather than move into people management. Salary is £60,000–£75,000, depending on experience. The hybrid arrangement is two days per week in the office and three days from home, with working hours of 09:00–17:30.
