This position is responsible for transferring food items and materials from food storeroom to assigned outlets within the delivery times as defined by department’s service standards.
• Receives food items and materials from food storeroom and delivers to cooks. • Responsible for all items received. • Visually inspects all items received and informs superior of any discrepancies. • Responsible for all items received to assure good conditions are maintained. • Assures that the receipt and request of all items is timely and accurate. • Obtains and distributes all requested supplies as needed. • Ability to be mobile in all areas of the hotel.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Ability to read and write English sufficiently to perform job. • Must be able to navigate quickly and efficiently from one location to another. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS • Ability to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 100 pounds. • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively • Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period • Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period • Must be able to work in wet, extreme cold and/or heat, noisy environment.
