Job Title: Production Associate 1st & 3rd Shift Job DescriptionThis role focuses on safely transporting finished materials from production lines to yard inventory using a forklift. • Transport finished materials from production lines to designated inventory locations in the yard using a forklift. • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently in an outdoor yard environment the majority of the workday. • Load and unload materials and products as required to support production and inventory workflows. • Cross-train in the production area to perform basic machine operation and assembly tasks when needed. • Fill in for production associates who are absent, ensuring continuity of operations and minimal downtime. • Follow established safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment and working in outdoor and indoor areas. • Maintain clean, organized work areas by managing scrap material and ensuring clear pathways for equipment and personnel. • Inspect forklift and other equipment before use and report any issues or maintenance needs promptly. • Work effectively in all weather conditions and adapt to changing yard and production demands. • Communicate with production and yard teams to coordinate material movement and inventory placement. Essential Skills
• Ability to safely load and unload materials using a forklift and other basic material handling methods. • Comfort working primarily outdoors and transitioning between yard and production areas. • Ability to cross-train and perform basic production support tasks as needed. • Reliable adherence to safety procedures and operational guidelines. Work EnvironmentYou work outdoors approximately 90% of the time in a yard setting, operating a forklift and handling materials in all weather conditions. The indoor production area is not climate controlled and can become cramped when scrap material accumulates, requiring awareness of space and safety. The environment is fast-paced and hands-on, with frequent movement between yard and production areas and a focus on safe equipment operation and teamwork. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of London, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.25 - $21.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
