Job summary
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate aspiring to a career in Haematology Services. The successful applicant will work with the Haematologyteam for a period of 12 months.
Main duties of the job
The Trust operates a ward based system and you will be working as part of a team of doctors andconsultants to look after Haematology and general medical inpatients on the ward (West Ward), andpatients referred to the Haematology team by specialities on other wards.
The successful applicant would also have the opportunity to attend clinics, including speciality clinics.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Full GMC Registration MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
Desirable
MRCP (UK) or equivalent by time of appointment
Experience Essential
Evidence of experience in a range of acute medical specialties, with experience of managing patients on unselected medical take during core medical training or equivalent
Desirable
Experience of managing patients with CKD
Knowledge & Skills Essential
Appropriate knowledge base and ability to apply sound clinical judgement to problems Awareness of the basics of managing patients with CKD Evidence of competence in management of medical emergencies and in-patients through continuous work-based assessments, portfolio evidence, including log book documentation if applicable Evidence of competence to work without direct supervision where appropriate Competent to lead the acute medical take in an NHS hospita Demonstrate current ALS certification or equivalent
Desirable
Demonstrates ability in managing common acute emergencies Evidence of some level 2 competences in acute medicine and nephrology Evidence of skills in the management of acute medical emergencies
