Main duties of the job As a Care Assistant - Nights at Avery Healthcare, you'll deliver high standards of personal care, ensuring residents' dignity and independence. You'll recognize clinical risks such as weight loss and falls and respond promptly. Acting courteously towards residents and visitors while practicing safe work methods is crucial. No specific experience is required; however, you must embody our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. Key skills include effective communication, initiative, and adaptability. A thorough training program is provided to ensure confidence in your role, with the expectation of undergoing a DBS Disclosure check.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
Other responsibilities will include:
Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner. Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident. Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.ABOUT YOU

Qualifications Essential
To be successful in the Care Assistant role, candidates must possess the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, demonstrate initiative, and show respect towards residents and team members. Candidates do not need prior experience as Avery Healthcare provides a comprehensive induction and training program. They must be efficient and capable of following instructions from team members, and also be flexible to cover various responsibilities at short notice. Importantly, candidates must live by the values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability in their role.
