The role involves leading the unit, overseeing care standards, staffing, documentation, and resident experience in collaboration with the General Manager and Deputy Manager. The Care Manager is responsible for care quality, safeguarding, compliance, and team performance. Key responsibilities include leading care planning processes, monitoring resident wellbeing, acting as the key safeguarding lead, and serving as a primary contact for residents and families.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You willprovide visible leadershipon the unit,overseeing standards of care delivery, staffing,documentation and resident experience. Working closely with the General Manager and Deputy Manager, you will ensure that care is delivered in line with company policies, regulatory standards and best practice.
Although non-clinical, the Care Manager is accountable for care quality, safeguarding, compliance and team performance within the unit. You will lead care planning processes, monitor risk, support staff development and act as a key point of contact for residents, families and professionals.
Other responsibilities will include:
Lead the person-centred care planning process, including implementation, monitoring and monthly evaluation. Monitor residents wellbeing, recognising changes that impact care and ensuring care plans are updated accordingly. Act as a key lead for safeguarding within residential care, ensuring concerns are identified, escalated and managed appropriately Act as a key point of contact for residents, relatives and visitors, responding to reasonable requests and escalating concerns appropriately.
