Job summary As a Relief Care Assistant at Otto Schiff, you will play an important role in supporting residents to live well, with dignity, choice and independence. Working as part of a caring and supportive team, you will provide person-centred support with personal care and daily routines, meals, activities and wellbeing, while also offering companionship and emotional support. You will take time to understand each resident as an individual, build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues, and help create a safe, welcoming environment where people feel valued. The role supports people with a range of care needs, including residents living with dementia, and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day.
Main duties of the job Join Jewish Care as a Relief Care Assistant and make a real difference to the lives of the people we support. This rewarding role is about much more than providing practical care; it is about getting to know residents, listening to what matters to them and helping them enjoy meaningful, fulfilling days. You will support with personal care, meals, activities and everyday routines, while providing companionship and encouragement. Previous care experience is welcome but not essential, as full training and ongoing support are provided. Our multi-award-winning organisation is looking to recruit a Care Assistant to join our Care team.

As a Care Assistant, youll support residents with daily living, from personal care to mealtimes and activities, always taking a person-centred approach. Youll get to know each resident as an individualwhat matters to them, what makes them smileand tailor your support to help them live well.
No two days are the same, but every day is meaningful.

Working pattern
12-hour shifts (8am8pm), including some weekends
