During your time with us, you will: Work on live engineering projects that make a direct impact on car performance Follow a tailored development plan, with regular feedback to support your growth Gain exposure to cutting-edge tools, technologies and processes in motorsport Be part of a collaborative and inclusive team that values your ideas Build skills that could set you up for a future career in Formula One®. This is an opportunity to develop, challenge yourself, and contribute to something extraordinary. If you share our racer’s spirit and want to write the next chapter in Aston Martin Aramco’s history, join us – where every team member plays a crucial role in our success, and your growth is as important as our achievements. About Aerodynamics at Aston Martin Aramco Aerodynamics is central to performance in Formula One®. At Aston Martin Aramco, our Aerodynamics teams focus on maximising efficiency, downforce, and overall car performance. From CFD and wind tunnel analysis to innovative experimental techniques, every detail counts. Our new state-of-the-art wind tunnel will also be a world-class testing facility, ensuring we remain at the forefront of aerodynamic innovation. We’re offering placements across Aerodynamics, Experimental Aero and Aero Thermal. Whichever team you join, you’ll contribute to projects that shape car performance. Within your application, you’ll be asked to select your preferred role from this advert. Aerodynamics Development Work on the day-to-day development of the team’s aerodynamic philosophy, contributing to the design, analysis and performance of our Formula One® cars. You’ll run wind tunnel tests, conduct CFD studies, and translate results into concepts that enhance car performance. This role is ideal if you want to see how cutting-edge aerodynamic ideas directly influence on-track results. AMPT Aerodynamics (Aston Martin Performance Technologies) Take Formula One aerodynamic thinking beyond the racetrack. At AMPT, you’ll apply cutting-edge F1 aerodynamic principles to challenges across motorsport, automotive and aerospace. You’ll plan and deliver aerodynamic studies using CAD and CFD, explore innovative development techniques, and help translate the speed, precision and performance mindset of Formula One into entirely new environments. Ideal for aerodynamicists who want to push beyond traditional boundaries and see where high-performance thinking can take them. Wind Tunnel Systems Join the team developing our brand-new, state-of-the-art wind tunnel facility. You’ll contribute to experimental systems innovation, working with advanced technologies such as Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), robotics and supervisory control systems. Combining hands-on engineering with coding skills in Python or MATLAB, you’ll help analyse data, create tools, and drive continuous improvement in aerodynamic testing. This role is perfect if you’re curious, technically capable and eager to solve complex problems in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. Wind Tunnel Analysis Contribute to the development of our state-of-the-art wind tunnel facility. You’ll focus on analysing experimental data, understanding complex problems, developing advanced aerodynamic test methods, and applying the latest data analytic techniques to refine our understanding of the facility. Using your coding and engineering skills, you will develop MATLAB and Python tools and data processing techniques to enhance our testing program. This is a broad role covering a range of engineering environments suited to those with an inquisitive mindset and a passion for problem-solving, combining engineering innovation with cutting-edge experimental analysis. Aero Thermal Join the team and play a hands-on role in developing and implementing thermal and aerothermal concepts for our many Formula One® car cooling systems. You’ll support projects from conception through testing and analysis, helping to refine the car’s performance at both the design and racing weekend optimisation stages while learning and improving our many simulation tools that underpin real-world decision-making. This role is ideal if you love to solve fresh new complex problems every week in a multidisciplinary environment.
