We are seeking an innovative Senior Aero R&D Design Engineer to play a key role in the development of cutting-edge aerodynamic technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to lead complex engineering projects from concept through to delivery, working across wind tunnel models, aerodynamic test equipment, full-scale dyno programmes, and advanced R&D facilities. Please note we are open to candidates at Engineer and Senior Engineer level. We will tailor the role and responsibilities to match your experience. Leading the design, planning and delivery of complex Aero R&D projects from concept to completion. Acting as the technical focal point across multiple departments to ensure successful project execution. Mentoring and supporting engineers, helping to develop capability within the team. Designing and overseeing the delivery of components, rigs, tooling, fixtures and aerodynamic test equipment. Reviewing and approving CAD data, engineering drawings and technical documentation. Ensuring designs are robust, manufacturable, fit for purpose and delivered to demanding timescales. Steering problem-solving and continuous improvement activities throughout development and testing programmes. Carrying out feasibility studies and creating design solutions that support both operational and project requirements.
