About this role

Job Summary Synechron is seeking an Informatica MDM Developer with 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting Master Data Management solutions. The role will focus on implementing and maintaining Informatica MDM capabilities that improve data quality, governance, consistency, and accessibility across enterprise systems. The successful candidate will translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, support reliable data operations, and contribute to business objectives through accurate and trusted master data.

Software Requirements (Required and Preferred) Required

• Informatica MDM Hub: 3+ years of hands-on development, configuration, customization, and production support experience using a current or organization-supported version.

• Informatica Data Director (IDD): Experience configuring and supporting user interfaces, workflows, and data stewardship activities.

• Match and Merge Configuration: Experience developing and managing match rules, merge rules, trust frameworks, survivorship logic, and validation rules.

• Hierarchy Manager: Experience designing and maintaining relationships, hierarchies, and organizational structures within Informatica MDM.

• SQL and PL/SQL: Strong practical experience with data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and database programming.

• Relational Databases: Working experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or equivalent relational database technologies.

• Web Services and REST APIs: Experience integrating Informatica MDM with source and target applications.

• Data Modeling and Governance Tools or Practices: Experience applying data models, data quality standards, metadata principles, and governance controls.

• Development and Testing Tools: Experience using source control, defect tracking, testing, deployment, and production support tools relevant to Informatica MDM delivery.

Preferred

• Informatica PowerCenter or IICS: Experience developing or supporting ETL workflows and data integration processes.

• Informatica Cloud (IICS): Exposure to cloud-based data integration and MDM-related capabilities.

• Informatica Data Quality (IDQ): Experience with data profiling, cleansing, validation, monitoring, and quality rules.

• Data Governance Tools: Exposure to tools supporting stewardship, metadata management, lineage, or governance workflows.

Overall Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, customize, and maintain Informatica MDM solutions in line with approved business and technical requirements.

• Configure and support Informatica MDM Hub, Informatica Data Director, Hierarchy Manager, match and merge rules, trust frameworks, validation rules, and related components.

• Develop data models, business rules, survivorship logic, and governance controls that support consistent and reliable master data.

• Work with business stakeholders, data stewards, architects, analysts, and delivery teams to understand master data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Perform data analysis, profiling, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and issue investigation to improve data quality.

• Integrate Informatica MDM with source and target applications using ETL tools, web services, REST APIs, and other approved integration methods.

• Analyze and resolve development, testing, integration, and production issues within agreed service levels.

• Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, estimation, code and configuration reviews, testing, deployment, and post-production support.

• Ensure implementations follow applicable data governance, data quality, security, privacy, and access-control standards.

• Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, data mappings, test evidence, operational procedures, and support knowledge.

• Contribute to efficient solution design by reducing unnecessary data processing, supporting responsible use of infrastructure, and considering sustainability impacts where relevant.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Configure, develop, test, and maintain Informatica MDM Hub, Informatica Data Director, match and merge rules, trust frameworks, hierarchies, validation rules, and related data management components.

• Analyze source data, perform profiling and reconciliation, investigate quality issues, and collaborate with data stewards, business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and integration teams.

• Participate in requirements discussions, design reviews, sprint ceremonies, testing activities, deployment planning, defect resolution, and post-production support.

• Make implementation decisions within approved standards and designs, escalate risks appropriately, and remain accountable for the quality, security, documentation, and operational readiness of assigned deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Management, or a related field; equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered.

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience developing and supporting Informatica MDM solutions, with demonstrated experience delivering production-ready outcomes.

• Informatica MDM certification is preferred but not required.

• Completion of role-relevant training in Informatica MDM, data quality, data governance, SQL, secure integration, and applicable delivery practices is expected.
