Main duties of the job The role of a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare is to work as part of the care team to provide high standards of personal care to residents. Responsibilities include monitoring the wellbeing of residents, being involved in person-centred care planning, supporting medication requirements, undertaking staff supervisions, and acting as a key contact point. A minimum of 2 years experience in a care environment and an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes is required. Effective communication skills and a positive attitude towards residents and staff are essential. The role requires flexibility and responsiveness to fulfill various responsibilities. A DBS Disclosure check is required, which will be met by Avery Healthcare.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation. Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations. Supporting residents with their medication requirements. Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required. Acting as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Our ideal candidatemust:
Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes. Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment. Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Have a positive attitude to bothsupporting and nurturing residents and staff. Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
