1. Completion of a Master's Degree 2. Certification in Educational Leadership from the Florida Department of Education 3. 5 years of Teaching Experience 4. Three Letters of Recommendation (including one from Current Supervisor)

Qualifications:

• Holds a Master's degree from an accredited institution.

• Holds Florida certification in Educational Leadership, School Principal, or Administration and Supervision (including appropriate grade level coverage for advertised vacancy).

• Has five (5) years of teaching experience at appropriate level.

• Has prior school-based administrative experience (preferred but not required).

• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Assists the principal in the overall administration of the school.

• Serves as interim principal in the absence of the principal.

• Assists in scheduling of classes and extra-curricular activities.

• Coordinate and/or assists in the preparation of studentschedules.

• Works with department heads and/or staff in compiling the annual budget requests.

• Evaluates staff as requested.

• Collaborates with administration and staff in writing, implementing and monitoring the school-based Student Learning Plan.

• Assists the principal in implementing and monitoring the curriculum.

• Coordinates supplies, textbooks, and equipment, conducting inventories, maintaining records, and checking on receipts for such materials.

• Cooperates in the conducting of safety inspections and safety drill practice activities.

• Coordinates and/or assists with transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and other support services.

• Assists in maintaining discipline throughout the student body, and deals with special cases as necessary.

• Serves with parent, faculty, and student groups as requested in advancing educational and related activities and objectives.

• Performs such record-keeping and follow-up functions as the principal may direct.

• Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal may from time to time assign.
