Job SummaryYou will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the FST LOGISTICS DIV, FST DEPT of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Providing Naval Aviation solutions to Fleet Support Teams, Program Managers - Air (PMA), and/or Program Executive Offices (PEO) while monitoring team progress and work environment. 2. Reviewing and approving work products of less experienced LMS and Interns; developing employees and providing guidance as required to senior LMS's for assigned programs. 3. Coordinating logistics support and maintenance engineering activities including, but not limited to: Logistics Support Analyses; Maintenance Planning; Life Cycle Logistics; Technical Publication Authoring and Management. 4. Providing briefings to top military commanders and civilian managers as part of problem definition and resolution analyses, providing logistics guidance to decision makers involved with acquisition, development or modifications of aircraft weapons systems, subsystems and associated equipment. 5. Coordinating responses from fleet users of proposed systems, and advising on program courses of actions, including risk mitigation and acceptance. Major DutiesYou will develop and maintain Logistics Requirements and Funding Summaries (LRFS) for all assigned systems.You will implement strategies to overcome obstacles to the accomplishment of logistics support for the assigned weapon system/subsystem.You will represent NAVAIR Headquarters program sponsors/customers at meetings, briefings, conferences and workshops concerning ILS and maintenance policies for assigned systems.You will monitor and report on the status and progress of work, checking on work in progress and reviewing completed work to see that the supervisor's instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines and quality have been met.
