Job SummaryYou will serve as a SUPERVISORY TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST in the SYSTEMS INTEGRATION AND SUSTAINMENT BRANCH, SPECIAL COMMUNICATIONS MISSION SOLUTIONS (SCMS) DIVISION, RAPID CAPABILITY SOLUTIONS DEPARTMENT, RAPID CAPABILITY ENGINEERING GROUP of NAWCAD WEBSTER OUTLYING FIELD.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing system engineering direction and technical leadership to engineers, technicians, and IT professionals; 2) Implementing and managing the execution of rapid integration projects involving of Command, Control, Communications, Computer and Combat Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems, computer networks, IT systems and related A/V and electronic systems; 3) Leading technical innovation and organizational change to adapt with industry growth in technology; 4) Coordinating with strategic leaders and tactical partners in addition to industry to develop immediate and future solutions for the warfighter; and 5) Providing technical engineering mentorship and project management direction to subordinates and other professionals. Major DutiesYou will explore, develop, and assess emerging IT capabilities, applications, infrastructure, and technologies to determine their applicability for insertion into programs.You will continuously monitor evolving management issues, emerging technologies, changing operational requirements, and higher-level mandates to ensure capabilities are effectively integrated and responsive to broad customer needs.You will collaborate closely with Contracting Officers and Business and Financial Managers (BFMs) to establish responsive contract vehicles and resource management strategies across all life-cycle phases of special communication programs.You will manage manpower resources, develop hiring strategies, cross-training initiatives, and skills-mix optimization to enable maximum staffing flexibility and workload prioritization.You will manage provided funds, control tasking across team-wide locations, and ensure responsive, timely support to customer needs.
