Job SummaryYou will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the EXECUTIVE STAFF (N0) of COMHELSEACOMBATWING LANT.

QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience and possess thorough knowledge of a wide range of security disciplines to include information, personnel. physical, and industrial. Experience in independently reviewing, analyzing, and resolving difficult and complex security problems. Experience and possess thorough knowledge of U.S. security organization and DoD and DoN security policies and directives. Experience and possess knowledge of accepted security principles, concepts, policies, practices, and methods of security administration in the areas of personnel, physical, information and industrial security to complete assignments and determine the impact of variables such as access control, entry restrictions, and equipment availability. Experience and possess knowledge of information systems security, JPAS. DISS, Contractor Verification System (CVS), communications security, special programs, and special security to develop guidelines for applying general criteria covering system access and reporting requirements. Experience and possess knowledge of criteria, equipment, and techniques related to personnel security, standardized applications, and established policy variations such as clearance level required to determine eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information and in developing local plans and instructions. Experience planning, coordinating, and conducting activities and inspections to ensure the security of classified and sensitive information, property, and/or material is secure from unauthorized disclosure, theft, or sabotage. Experience coordinating and conducting briefings and training of subordinates and other security personnel related to the interpretation of established regulations, policies, and procedures or in advising CHSCWL security personnel on new developments and security advances. Experience operating computers to prepare reports, spreadsheets, briefings, security education, training, and awareness material, and other required documentation. Major DutiesYou will administer a personnel security program that includes initiation and adjudication of security clearance investigations.You will ensure personnel have proper eligibility and need-to­know granting access based on position sensitivity and mission requirements.You will maintain personnel security records using DoD systems such as the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), Defense Information System for Security (DISS), and Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP).You will administer a continuous evaluation program, to report, review, and track personnel security issues affecting eligibility and access.You will provide anti-terrorism, force protection, emergency management, physical security support and training for issues affecting command facilities and personnel.You will safeguard classified material by providing procedural guidance on access, marking, reproduction, dissemination, safeguarding, accountability, and destruction of classified material.You will administer a physical security program by planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, reviewing, and evaluating measures and procedures for the protection of Wing assets and facilities.
