About this role

Key Responsibilities We are looking for a <strong>Corporate Development Analyst</strong> to join our growing team in Barcelona and support Cycle0 strategic growth across Europe. In this role, you will play an active part in evaluating investment opportunities, executing M&amp;A transactions, developing strategic partnerships, and contributing to the expansion of our renewable energy platform.<br><br>What you will be doing<br><ul><li><div>Develop financial models for the valuation and analysis of investments on internally developed and M&amp;A projects.</div></li><li><div>Conduct desktop research in the sector of renewable energy (biogas/biomethane), the relative regulations in European level to identify trends, opportunities, and potential partnerships that could enhance Cycle0’s position in the sector.</div></li><li>Work alongside the team to run end to end investment decisions. Including identification, structuring and negotiations of a range of commercial opportunities covering M&amp;A, partnerships and JV’s.</li><li>Partnering with local business units and corporate functions, and working closely with legal, accounting and tax experts</li><li>Assist and support post-acquisition integration by ensuring that cross-functional teams are all executing on their respective M&amp;A integration plans.</li><li>Preparing presentations for projects for internal and external uses.</li><li><div>Other supporting activities at early expansion stage of Cycle0 such us analysing offtake opportunities, green certification audits, project permitting liaison.</div></li></ul> Your talent and knowledge <ul><li><div>Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; chartered accountancy, CFA or equivalent qualification an advantage</div></li><li><div>2-4 years of experience in transaction services, investment banking, M&amp;A advisory, corporate development, or similar. </div></li><li>Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, with ideally some financial modeling experience and a strong appetite to develop skills in this area</li><li>Proficient PowerPoint skills for internal and external presentations</li><li>Previous exposure to energy sector is a plus</li><li><div>Fluent in English, Spanish. Italian is a plus</div></li><li>Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.</li></ul>
