Requirements: We are looking for engineers at all levels to join our team.We value people who are engaged and care about customers, the code they write, and the contribution they make to our bank.We want people with a broad ability to apply themselves to a variety of problems and challenges, and who can work across teams.For this Android role, we are looking for people who understand and prioritise security when implementing new features, fixing bugs, or making technical improvements across all layers.We are interested in people with a strong focus on accessibility and writing clean, maintainable code.We look for self-driven individuals who can take full ownership of their work, from building and shipping to maintaining code and sharing knowledge.Testing is a key quality we look for, including UI/E2E testing with Espresso and unit testing with JUnit.We value people who can work collaboratively with a mobile lead engineer and other Android engineers of varying experience levels.Experience with modern Android technologies is relevant, including Kotlin, MVVM, Jetpack Compose, Material 3, Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, RxJava, Hilt, Dagger 2, Realm, and Room. Responsibilities: Work as an Android engineer within one of our cross-functional feature teams.Make the decisions necessary for the platform and provide insight to team leads on projects.Work closely with other Android engineers to improve and develop our Android app, CI automations, and tooling.Commit, review, and ship new code from the first week.Build, ship, and maintain code while sharing knowledge with colleagues.Help ensure processes are efficient and productive to deliver the best possible results for our customers.Design, build, and release new screens every day.Write UI/E2E tests with Espresso and unit tests with JUnit.Manually test features before they go into production.Work closely with QA engineers on complex feature delivery.Participate in weekly team discussions about pain points and improvements.Take part in rotating release manager duties for weekly app updates.Help automate release steps and support safer rollouts.
