Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician repairs, maintains, and optimizes production machinery and equipment in the PLE department to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient operations. This role focuses on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and effective spare parts management to maximize equipment uptime across multiple production shifts.Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain all machines and equipment in the PLE department to support safety, product quality, and production efficiency. • Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on production equipment to quickly identify root causes and implement effective repairs. • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance on all equipment to maximize uptime and reduce unplanned downtime. • Manage spare parts inventory by maintaining an organized, up-to-date list of parts on hand and their storage locations. • Conduct daily equipment checks during production to identify potential issues before they impact operations. • Use documentation, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical problems. • Troubleshoot PLC systems, 480V electrical systems, three-phase motors, and wiring as needed to keep equipment running reliably. • Follow established SOPs and GMPs when working on equipment to maintain compliance with regulatory and quality standards. • Collaborate with production staff to understand equipment issues and prioritize maintenance activities. • Support continuous improvement efforts by recommending maintenance-related process improvements. • Work assigned shift and required overtime, including every other weekend, to support 24/7 production needs. Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including experience with 480V systems. • Hands-on experience with PLC troubleshooting for production equipment. • Proficiency working with three-phase motors, including installation, wiring, and diagnostics. • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation. • Experience performing preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems. • Solid mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues on production equipment. • Effective troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve equipment problems. • Ability to organize and manage spare parts inventory with clear documentation. • Commitment to safety and adherence to SOPs and GMPs when performing maintenance work. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Food manufacturing experience, particularly in environments with strict quality and safety standards. • Familiarity with SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices). • Experience in electrical maintenance within a regulated manufacturing setting. • Experience working in facilities that meet FDA, USDA, Organic, and Kosher standards. • Comfort working across multiple shifts and supporting weekend production as needed. The operation adheres to FDA, USDA, Organic, and Kosher standards, with a strong emphasis on cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance. Maintenance technicians support equipment across 1st shift (7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.), 2nd shift (3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.), and 3rd shift (11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.), and are required to work overtime every other weekend on both Saturday and Sunday. Overtime is compensated at 1.5x after 40 hours and 2x on Sundays. Personal protective equipment is required, including hair and beard nets, company-issued uniforms, and/or lab coats, reflecting the facility’s strict hygiene and food safety standards. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Saline, MI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $65000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Decent pay for entry‑level roles: Workers describe compensation as fair for starting positions.
