Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk | Weekly Pay Job DescriptionThe Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing all shipping activities, supporting receiving and inventory functions, and ensuring that products are prepared, documented, and dispatched in a professional and timely manner.Responsibilities
• Print and review the daily list of materials scheduled for shipping to ensure all orders are prepared on time. • Construct shipping boxes and use pick lists to gather required items from the warehouse. • Package orders for shipment so they are professional in appearance and securely packed to ensure safe arrival to the customer. • Complete checklists to verify that all items are included in each shipment before dispatch. • Disperse packages to the appropriate shipping channels, including DHL, UPS, FedEx, and ground or freight carriers. • Use arranged shipping or logistics methods and select the most cost-effective shipping channel when one is not specified. • Update internal systems with accurate shipping information, including carrier, ship date, cost, and tracking numbers. • Utilize and update proprietary operational systems and related spreadsheets to maintain accurate records. • Kit materials and affix correct shipping labels to all outgoing packages. • Perform administrative tasks related to processing and shipping products, including reports, data entry, scanning, transmittals, correspondence, photocopying, communication, filing, and organizing documentation. • Assist in resolving shipment issues or customer service concerns related to shipping activities. • Place pallets in the staging area for shipping and load trucks as needed. • Communicate effectively with other departments such as sales coordination, deployment, and accounting to support smooth operations. • Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe working environment in the warehouse and shipping areas. • Serve as backup support for receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse operations as needed. • Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance as a core requirement of the role. Essential Skills
• 1–3 years of prior experience working in a warehouse environment. • Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse setting. • Ability to use pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment. • Experience with order picking, packing, and general warehouse shipping tasks. • Basic computer knowledge, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. • Ability to stand in the same position for approximately 50% of the workday. • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds safely and repeatedly. • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects. • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. • Strong communication skills for coordinating with internal departments and documenting shipping activities. • Ability to follow detailed procedures and checklists to ensure accuracy in shipping and inventory tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment. • Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory and order picking. • Previous experience as an inventory clerk, receiver, or general warehouse associate. • Comfort working with proprietary operational systems and spreadsheet-based tracking. • Demonstrated ability as a self-starter who takes initiative and maintains productivity. • Strong organizational skills for managing documentation, filing, and shipment records. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as sales, deployment, and accounting. There is a secure, caged-off section where no electronics are allowed, ensuring strict control over sensitive materials. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with some flexibility when needed. You will work around standard warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and material handling tools, with clearly defined staging areas for pallets and shipments. The environment emphasizes safety, orderliness, and professionalism, supporting focused and efficient work throughout the day. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chaska, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
