About this role

Job Title: Industrial Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThis role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and support systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production operations. You will work hands-on with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, support continuous improvement efforts, and keep detailed maintenance records while adhering to all safety standards. Responsibilities • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using appropriate tools, techniques, and diagnostic methods. • Repair or replace defective components such as motors, belts, gears, bearings, rollers, shafts, pumps, and electrical wiring as needed. • Maintain accurate documentation for existing and new equipment, including technical information and update logs. • Keep up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and part replacements. • Provide assistance with mechanical installations and equipment setups as directed. • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical problems on production machinery. • Interface with equipment operators and maintenance staff to understand equipment issues and determine corrective actions. • Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical/mechanical schematics to diagnose problems and perform appropriate repairs. • Install and service a variety of systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, communications, and process control systems. • Support continuous improvement engineers and production departments by suggesting ways to improve equipment reliability and productivity. • Perform electrical troubleshooting on systems ranging from 24V–120V electronics up to 480V power circuits. • Conduct PLC troubleshooting, interpret ladder logic, and resolve control system issues impacting equipment performance. • Perform welding tasks as needed to support equipment repair and maintenance. • Follow all safety standards and procedures and consistently wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Essential Skills • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills across a wide range of industrial equipment. • Hands-on experience working with hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair. • Proficiency with pneumatic systems and related components. • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems from 24V–120V electronic circuits up to 480V power systems. • Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, technical manuals, blueprints, and ladder logic diagrams. • PLC troubleshooting skills with the ability to understand and work with ladder logic. • Knowledge of mechanical components including rollers, gears, bearings, shafts, and drive systems. • Ability to install, service, and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, communications, and process control systems. • Strong general troubleshooting ability across mechanical, electrical, and control systems. • Capability to perform welding to support equipment repair and maintenance. • Commitment to following safety standards and consistently using appropriate personal protective equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Comfort working in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment. • Ability to collaborate effectively with equipment operators, maintenance staff, engineers, and production teams. • Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills for maintenance activities and equipment history. • Willingness to participate in skills development and technical training courses. • Interest in continuous improvement and proactive equipment reliability enhancements. Work EnvironmentThis position operates primarily on a first-shift schedule. While on contract, the standard hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Upon transition to permanent status, the schedule shifts to a rotating pattern of four 12-hour shifts in week one and three 12-hour shifts in week two, with opportunities to pick up additional overtime. The role is based in an industrial facility with a variety of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, communications, and process control equipment. Work is hands-on around machinery and power systems up to 480V, requiring consistent use of personal protective equipment and adherence to established safety procedures. The environment offers substantial overtime availability and a structured assessment process when moving to permanent employment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newnan, GA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
