Job Title: Stamping Press OperatorJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Stamping Press Operator to operate Progressive, Tandem, and Transfer Presses. The role involves bonding metal components, producing, verifying, stacking, and sorting metal stampings with precision and care. Responsibilities • Manually load parts or blanks into machines and place parts into inventory baskets. • Inspect components and assemblies visually for quality defects such as scrap marks, rust, burrs, lamination, and missing welds. • Measure parts to ensure they meet specifications. • Record and report production, quality, and inventory information accurately. • Monitor weld machines or presses for proper operation and report any malfunctions or problems to supervisor and maintenance. • Perform all duties and operate machinery and equipment according to company standards and procedures using required safety equipment such as gloves, sleeves, and earplugs. • Label and/or tag parts and baskets accurately. • Perform routine and preventative maintenance and setup, including die setting/fastening and machine lubrication. • Utilize tools such as hand-held pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and die bars. Essential Skills • Experience in production and machine operation. • Ability to read blueprints and use power tools. • Mechanical aptitude and ability to load machines. • Proficiency in measuring tools and working in a manufacturing environment. • Inspection and assembly skills. • General labor skills and ability to use hand tools and tape measures. • Experience with press brakes, calipers, and troubleshooting. • Machine operation skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in machine operation with set-ups and changeovers is a plus. • Mechanically inclined and open to learning machine operations in a stamping environment. Work EnvironmentThe work environment is heavy industrial, with several large metal stamping presses and a workforce of a couple hundred employees. The facility is partially climate-controlled with improved ventilation. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 1:00 PM to 9:15 PM, with a 10-minute break and a 20-minute paid lunch. Extra breaks are provided when the temperature is hotter than average. Overtime work may extend hours until 11:15 PM. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.58 - $22.58/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
