About this role

Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician supports daily operations by installing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and facility equipment. This role works extensively with low‑voltage systems (12–24V) and high‑voltage electrical systems up to 480V, 3‑phase. The technician diagnoses electrical and mechanical issues, performs circuit testing, and ensures equipment operates safely and efficiently. In addition to working on industrial machinery, the position includes general facility maintenance as needed. Responsibilities • Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and related equipment. • Work safely with low‑voltage electrical systems (12–24V) and high‑voltage systems up to 480V, 3‑phase. • Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in industrial equipment and facility systems. • Perform circuit testing to identify faults and verify proper operation. • Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. • Repair and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in industrial applications. • Carry out general facility maintenance tasks as needed to support smooth operations. • Perform welding and mechanical repairs when required to restore equipment functionality. • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and contributes to a safe working environment. • Manage assigned work orders and complete projects within the day while maintaining quality standards. Essential Skills • Hands-on experience working with 480V electrical systems. • Proven industrial machinery troubleshooting experience. • Strong mechanical aptitude, including practical experience such as fixing cars, welding, or similar mechanical hobbies. • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in industrial equipment. • Competence in preventive maintenance and maintenance repair activities. • Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics in an industrial setting. • Experience working with 3‑phase electrical systems. • Ability to perform welding tasks as part of equipment repair and maintenance. • Solid troubleshooting skills for both electrical and mechanical systems. • Experience in an industrial maintenance technician role or closely related maintenance environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) is a plus. • Familiarity with industrial environments and facility maintenance. • Ability to read and interpret basic technical information related to machinery and electrical systems. • Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn new equipment and technologies. • Comfort working independently with responsibility for completing assigned projects within the day. Work EnvironmentThis is a first-shift opportunity with standard hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., providing a consistent daytime schedule. Work is performed in an industrial facility with exposure to machinery, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding equipment. Saturday work is rare and may occur only once or twice a year, supporting a predictable work-life balance. Technicians use a variety of industrial tools and testing equipment while following established safety practices in a production and maintenance-focused environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edwardsburg, MI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
