Job Title: HousekeeperJob DescriptionThe housekeeper plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across patient rooms, offices, common areas, restrooms, and food service areas. This position performs routine and scheduled cleaning tasks, supports floor and surface care, and helps ensure hygiene standards are consistently met. The role requires reliability, strong attendance, and a commitment to supporting a healthy and safe setting for all occupants.Responsibilities
• Perform thorough cleaning services in patient rooms, offices, common areas, restrooms, and food service areas. • Complete scheduled cleaning tasks to ensure all areas consistently meet hygiene and cleanliness standards. • Handle floor care duties, including mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming in a variety of facility spaces. • Sanitize and disinfect surfaces to support a healthy and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. • Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and correctly as needed to complete assigned tasks. • Follow established cleaning procedures and guidelines to maintain quality and consistency. • Report to work on time and maintain satisfactory attendance to support dependable coverage across shifts. • Collaborate with team members and respond to direction in a professional and cooperative manner. • Provide courteous and respectful customer service to patients, visitors, and staff when working in occupied areas. • Adhere to safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of cleaning agents and equipment. • Perform other duties as assigned based on facility needs and changing priorities. Essential Skills
• Experience in housekeeping, janitorial, environmental services, custodial work, or similar cleaning roles. • Housekeeping experience in settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, or commercial buildings. • Ability to perform floor care tasks including mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming. • Ability to sanitize and disinfect surfaces according to established hygiene standards. • Capability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively. • Strong reliability with great attendance and punctuality across assigned shifts. • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with others. • Adaptability to handle changing tasks and priorities throughout the workday. • Commitment to maintaining a healthy and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. • Basic customer service skills to interact professionally with building occupants. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Previous work in housekeeping within healthcare facilities, such as hospitals or nursing homes, is highly beneficial. • Experience cleaning commercial buildings and high-traffic areas. • Demonstrated ability to follow detailed cleaning schedules and procedures. • Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and order. • Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team. • Willingness to take on additional duties as needed to support overall operations. Work is performed on-site across two primary shifts: first shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and second shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The environment requires regular standing, walking, bending, and moving between different areas of the building. Housekeepers use a variety of cleaning equipment and supplies, such as vacuums, mops, brooms, and sanitizing solutions, while following safety and hygiene guidelines. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Midwest City, OK. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $14.00 - $16.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
