Job Title: General Laborer – 1st ShiftJob DescriptionThis role supports the production of concrete piping and related components used in underground infrastructure. You will work in a hands-on manufacturing environment, reading tape measures and basic blueprints, assembling materials, and finishing concrete parts to meet quality standards. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and comfort using hand and power tools to complete varied projects based on production prints. Responsibilities • Read and interpret tape measures accurately to ensure precise measurements for each project. • Review and follow basic blueprints and production prints to understand build-out requirements for concrete piping and related parts. • Assemble rebar and other materials to fit inside molds for concrete pipes, using proper techniques and tools. • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete mechanical assembly tasks. • Lift and move materials and finished parts, including carrying and dragging items weighing up to 50 pounds to designated areas. • Transport finished concrete parts to the finishing area and prepare them for final processing. • Operate hand sanders and other finishing tools to smooth and finish concrete surfaces once fully dried. • Maintain high attention to detail to ensure parts meet quality and specification standards. • Support general labor and construction-related tasks as needed throughout the facility. • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area in a dusty manufacturing environment. • Demonstrate reliable attendance and a willingness to help out across different areas of the facility as required. Essential Skills • Ability to read a tape measure accurately and consistently. • Ability to understand and work from basic blueprints and production prints. • Comfort using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing or construction setting. • Capability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. • Basic hand–eye coordination for assembling rebar and other components into molds. • Attention to detail to ensure concrete parts and assemblies meet specifications. • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic, with a willingness to assist in various tasks around the facility. • At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in manufacturing, concrete, or construction environments (preferred but they are willing to train). Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience working with concrete, masonry, or related construction materials. • Background in construction, mechanical assembly, or general labor roles. • Familiarity with sheet metal work and basic mechanical assembly processes. • Experience in a dusty, dirty manufacturing or industrial facility. • Ability to adapt to different projects and build-outs based on changing prints. • Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude toward helping in different areas of production. Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a dusty and dirty manufacturing facility where concrete piping and related products are produced. Work is performed on 1st shift, starting at either 5:00 a.m. or 6:00 a.m., and continues until the day's work is finished, typically 8–10 hours per day. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, offering consistent hours and no weekend shifts. The role involves regular use of hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment such as hand sanders, as well as frequent lifting and movement of heavy materials in an industrial setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greencastle, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
